Hive Training Program – Uni Sessions

This 19 week training program was constructed by Felix over the course of the last 20 years of training Sussex University. It has been refined for the 2021-22 season, with diagrams and drill videos added for clarity. The program is aimed at University / High School teams, and any teams which have a large influx of beginners. Follow the program week-by-week, or pick the sessions or drills/exercises you wish to add to yours! By following this exact program in the 2021-22 season, Sussex finished 4th in the Men’s division and 2nd in Women’s division 2. Watch video & access the spreadsheets (Training Tier patrons only)

Is This The Most Effective Move In Ultimate?

Goldfingers passed backwards on stall zero at least 17 times on their way to victory over XL Masters – usually in a sequence of flow that leads to a goal. Is this the most effective move currently in Ultimate, and why does it work so well in Hex? Felix takes a closer look.

The team from Potsdam (Germany) played 100% Hexagon Offence for the duration of this game and tournament, earning 3rd place and setting the bar for good hex play.

The D-Crash coach confirmed they play Hex 70% of the time. Within my first two days in Medellín, I had conversations with coaches from Argentina, Mexico, Venezuela – all had begun to introduce Hex to their teams since the pandemic and were keen to pick my brain.
