Forcing Teams to Play Good Mixed Ultimate

In this video, Noah takes a look at GB vs New Zealand at U24s back in 2023. New Zealand displayed a potent deep game at the beginning of this game and throughout the tournament, particularly with impressive receiver Finn Collins. If you look at the stats it’s clear that New Zealand’s male matching players ran the show; GB recognised that, and adjusted by having a female matching poach in the deep space. This completely destroyed New Zealand’s offensive flow, and is a good lesson in exploiting teams that play disproportionately through just a few players on their team – which is especially prevalent in mixed ultimate.
